Advanced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
For students who have mastered the Fundamentals and progressed through the All Levels class, the Advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) classes are the next step. Generally reserved for students that have advanced to color belts – blue belt and up – these classes are for serious students who have a Black Belt as their goal. Advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) classes are where you really get into refined Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. You’ll begin to work on advanced moves, chaining them together to defeat an opponent, and participate in advanced sparring or ‘rolling’ sessions with training partners of all sizes and experience levels.
As with all of our classes we believe in making the training a steady progression, one step at a time, rather than rushing. Once you’ve put in enough time with the Fundamentals and taken advantage of the All Levels classes, you’ll be ready for the precision of advanced classes.
This is where you’ll see a focus put on specific moves, or series of moves. Linking moves together into longer, more fluid series, which is what takes you from a simple workout to competition level training and advanced self defense mastery. It is also an area where your unique approach or ‘game’ is developed.
Each student develops areas of strength or skills that lead them along a unique path, it is in the Advanced BJJ classes that students begin to refine this individual approach. It is also where instructors help guide students to develop these areas or try complementary approaches to help them advance. Keeping training and development on an individual level is what makes the Kompound Training Center stand out and why we have such a great success rate.
Advanced classes are not to be taken lightly. They will challenge you, push you, and help you to improve as you continue your training journey. Whether you intend to step into the world of competition or just want to be able to apply these techniques in your everyday life, our Advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes will help you get where you’re going with confidence. And on the path to Black Belt.
